The holidays mean seeing people I haven't seen in a long time.

Yes, my hair grew back brown after my red hair fell out.

Yes, I know I look very thin.

Yes, my replacement breasts look different from the ones they took out.

I know I've had cancer.

You can just say "it's nice to see you."

Happy blessed Sunday peoples! Six months ago, my body was so ravaged by the chemotherapy, radiation, and malnutrition from not eating that doing anything was such a strain. Now, I’m getting after it, and feeling particularly strong!
Now, bring on those Sunday bangers, eggs, and home fries!

Random fact about me: I didn’t get my drivers license until I was well into my 30s, when in 2020 I moved with my partner as we relocated to her small rural hometown for her to take a job here.
Unfortunately, small and rural = automobile dependent

In addition to some edible treats, Bonnie gave me three coupons that I can exchange with her for her to detail my jeep. As the Mom to a 4-year-old and someone who shame eats fast food on the go all the time, my jeep is usually a trash pit. Acts of service can go a long way!
Unpopular opinion: I find the practice of giving roses on Valentine’s Day kind of dumb. People are paying $50 or more for a bouquet of flowers that will last two weeks at the most. And commercial rose production and transport is just so environmentally irresponsible. it’s so wasteful.

I am 💯 with my beautiful wife on this...this winter has been the worst. Somehow it has felt worst than that winter 10 years or so ago when we had 100 inches of snow over 24 days
While it is true that I was born and raised in the land of endless snow and ice and I do love winter, I am so done with it at this point

I made it 8 tears in the ED before I started burning out. Thankfully a colleague recognized it, and told me I should think about another specialty.

I and so many see ourselves in Dr. Robby. It's a testament of the realism of the writing pm The Pitt and Noah Wyle's talent to accurately represent.
Essay: "In [Dr. Robby's] graying hair, depth of caring and simmering burnout, I can see myself," writes Shannon CC Nedelka. "A lot has happened in 20 years — to both of us."
Why doctors like me appreciate 'The Pitt'
"In both his dedication and fatigue, Dr. Robby reflects our aging process as physicians, the accumulation of experience, perchance wisdom, and the struggle to maintain our humanity in the face of the ...

Happy Friday the 13th peeps! If you are superstitious, then just take it easy and make your own good luck today!

VERY early morning workout and trek into the clinic done after a late night. Means I go a very long time without seeing my litfe man, which sucks. But that's the life we choose

I watched The American President with my partner last night. It was a very good movie throughout, but then that speech at the end. Damn! Come on America, that is what you should be aspiring to for your leaders!

Solid 4⭐ fim.

Last evening:

Son: "Mom, what are you making?"
Me: "Soup!"
Son: "What kind of soup?"
Me: "Lasagna soup."
Son: "YAY! That's my favorite!"

And he did gobble it up!

😡 when I talk about my sister being arrested, detained, and then ultimately deported, people act like "no, but they're not targeting Europeans."

Let's be clear. They are targeting EVERYONE that wasn't born here and "talks funny"

So Megyn Kelly is OK wit Jeffrey Epstein and his friends being into the “barely legal type“ 15-year-old girls, but losers her shit over sweet pansexuals like myself, or people singing in Spanish.

That’s OK. Seeing snowflakes like Megyn become unhinged amuse me.

Yes, there is an actual club in Ireland called the Muff Diving Club, and yes, they are well aware of the humor in that name.

Muff is quite beautiful. One of my favorite places back home.

I never really knew James Van Der Beek's work. I missed out on Dawson's Creek (I think I probably would’ve loved it).
But when I was going through my own cancer journey, I got to know him well. It broke my heart, seeing his struggle. It brings me comfort knowing he is at peace now.

Joe Fox wasn't just a business rival. He intentionally set out to destroy a small independent bookseller that was no financial threat to his big box store. Then when he feels that twitch down below and wants her, he cyberstalks and manipulates her. We can't romanticize predatory men
Can you love your business rival? Let's take a look at the romcom classic, You've Got Mail!

Came into work, belting out LL Cool J along with the stereo in my Jeep, feeling better than usual. I account this to 3 factors:

1. We were a balmy 33 degrees this AM
2. No leaking yesterday. The ice dam on my roof finally gave way.
3. It'll hit 40 for the first time in weeks today!

Tonight for my kid, I made my own version of “hamburger helper” using ground turkey, protein enhanced lentil pasta, tomato sauce, milk, bone broth, seasonings, and cheddar cheese.
And he loved it!

Unpopular Opinion: you can respect someone’s beliefs while not agreeing with them.
Jelly Roll has had a rough life. Accepting Jesus into his life has obviously been very important to him.
We can respect his passion, without agreeing with it or even listening to it.
That’s how society works

Call from stepdaughter this afternoon:

"Umm, Jay, I just got home from school, and there's no water in the house, and there is this big thing of gushing water outside in the yard."

Which now begs the question from my brain...

Why do I even live here in this frozen tundra?
