Jim Henson repeatedly wanted to make stuff for an adult audience but was repeatedly curtailed by what he called "The Curse of Sesame Street." Granted he believed in the show and was proud of what they did, but he struggled for his "adult" offerings to be embraced.

Just watched both #NinNinGer Returns and #Zyuohger Returns - I’ve now watched every piece of #SuperSentai media currently released. #Gozyuger finale later 🔥
With that, I’m done with #Fiveman - meh start, and weird tone shift in the middle aside, the finale arc is PEAK. Aside from a few movies and the final episode of #Gozyuger tonight, I’ve now watched EVERY EPISODE of #SuperSentai !!!!
