Mission done, RA-78650 flew to Moscow likely landing at Chkalovskij military airfield.
On 29 Oct Tu-204 VIP RA-64059 RSD870 took off from Moscow (VKO) and flew to Pyongyang PRK. It took off on 31 Oct and is now en route back. This aircraft also flew Moscow – Pyongyang as RSD844 on 08 Oct returning to Moscow on 10 Oct. Is this going to be a regular flight?
This orbit could be air-to-air refueling training and the most likely candidates would be bombers from Engels.
When I think about it, the same flight crew is probably flying both RF-78741 & RA-78650.
RA-78650’s flight route is similar to that of the Il-78MD-90A MIDAS tanker RF-78741 using CS/FCN DEFAULT that was active out of Ulyanovsk on 29 Oct.
It was marketed in 2023 & 2024 in the Middle East as an export version of the Il-76MD-90A and converted to also be able to do air-to-air refueling at the Aviastar SP factory at Ulyanovsk between Oct 2024 & Mar 2025. It flew to DZA and was there from 26 Aug – 01 Sep on a likely marketing trip.
On 31 Oct Il-76MD/Il-78MD-90A(E) CANDID/MIDAS RA-78650 XAV78650 (Aviaprom Enterprises) took off from Ulyanovsk on a likely test flight. I have posted on this aircraft extensively.
On 30 Oct Air Koryo Il-62M CLASSIC P-881 departed Moscow (VKO) and is eastbound. The aircraft arrived on 26 Oct. North Korea's foreign minister to visit Russia and Belarus, KCNA says. www.reuters.com/world/china/...
(Relatively) new SS100 (RA-)89152 is making another test flight and recently it has been flying with the Red Wings Airline ICAO code RWZ1117. I guess we know who is going to get this aircraft.
I know this is a bit of a stretch, but I wonder if these flights could be connected?
On 26 Oct Gelix Airlines Il-76TD CANDID RA-76373 flew from Moscow (VKO) to Tehran (IKA) IRN and returned to Moscow after a brief stop. On 28 Oct Fars Air Qeshm B747 EP-FAB flew from Tehran IRN to Entebbe UGA. On 30 Oct Avikon Tsitotrans Il-76TD CANDID RA-76846 flew from Entebbe to Ouagadougou BFA.
This aircraft made a similar trip in Aug this year flying to Caracas VEN, Brasilia BRA, Santa Cruz and Bogota COL, Toluca MEX and Havana CUB. I am really wondering what this aircraft could be delivering/picking up, I mean besides loading up with rum for the trip back.
After arriving at Caracas VEN on 26 Oct Aviakon Tsitotrans Il-76TD CANDID RA-78765 flew to Havana CUB on 28 Oct and from there to Managua NIC and then back to Caracas on 29 Oct. On 30 Oct it departed and appears to be en route back.
SFS SS100 RA-89040 RSD500 landed at K-Grad (KGD) and is scheduled to return to Moscow later today. RusJet Bombardier Global 6000 RA-73528 also flew from Moscow (VKO) to K-Grad this morning and is scheduled to fly back to Moscow later.

I agree that this would be new; however, I am also not a specialist in how this would work. My first thought would be that it could be satellite based, but that could require multiple satellites. Another option could be that someone has hacked FR24 and is manipulating tracks that way. I do not know.
The first one I looked at was at 18.13367 28.50021. All the others appeared to be in the same place. I am wondering if it is a spoofer or a null point used by FR24?
The new spoofer is active again on 29 Oct ‘displaying’ aircraft from RUS, the Middle East, Asia and Africa over the Gulf of Guinea.

This aircraft is the first prototype Il-78M-90A MIDAS tanker aircraft (serial 0201) and made its first flight at Ulyanovsk in Jan 2018. The aircraft had 11 months of improvements and made its fourth test flight in Dec 2018, officially credited as the first under the factory flight test program.
Il-78MD-90A MIDAS tanker RF-78741 returned to Ulyanovsk after a probable test flight. This aircraft has flown using ‘DEFAULT’ on 17 Sep. 21 & 29 Oct (Previous missions were as RFF78741 or 78741). The first flight was about 1 ½ hours; the second about 4 ½ hours and today was approximately 6 ½ hours.
