You are correct. This does make the event today more interesting and I am leaning more towards more nefarious.

On 30 Nov Chinese AF Xian Y-20A 20042 was tracked westbound with the flight originating at Gorno-Altajsk. Probably not; the flight originated in CHN and Gorno-Altajsk may have been a refueling stop. The aircraft flew into the Southern Military District and is now flying back.
