Probably the bastard who pays so poorly that you bought a used KLR650 instead of the new 50th Anniversary Gold Wing and a sidecar for Sophie that you both deserve.
Look at it this way: You bought a questionable old KLR650 in need of attention before you risk your life riding it in traffic. You've done a bang-up job of complicating your own life. Who needs fictional characters? This is a great plot, you're the protagonist, and Sophie is the loyal sidekick.
They're not interested in us for our "cool motorcycles," either. (Especially mine.)
Clanky? Sounded like a modern boxer, to me. I didn't notice anything unexpected. It's a large-displacement twin, with the nature that comes with that, but it feels quite refined.
I returned the 2026 BMW R 1300 RT to the mother ship yesterday after putting just over 2,000 miles on it in October. In case you missed my review: www.revzilla.com/common-tread...
When Can-Am introduced its electric dual-sport #motorcycle, the Origin, its off-road abilities looked interesting. But can you really spend a weekend riding in the woods with a range-limited electric motorcycle? Our tester set out to try. www.revzilla.com/common-tread...

I like the Zero FXS, did a demo ride, shopped around for one and found some deals on used ones, but none that were close enough to me. Still keep my eyes open.
On the way up the mountain, the only traffic I passed was three bicycles, two cars, and one red fox. The fox declined to be photographed.
The KLX300SM feels like just the right motorcycle for the short ride to the summit on the narrow, tightly winding road. This section is one of the more open parts of the road. Anything more than the little supermoto feels too big.
Today was my last chance to ride to the top of Mount Greylock before the road closes for the season.
Gratuitous #autumn photo. The steeples of Williamstown, Massachusetts, with Pine Cobble in the background.
A little rain added even more colors to an #autumn day in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. Peak #fall colors are here.
Ducati lists a "lowered seat" as an accessory option for $250 but I'm not clear on how much lower it is.
Ducati unveils its newest Monster, with the engine from the V2 Panigale and plenty of modern tech, but with some styling touches that pay homage to earlier generations of Monsters. www.revzilla.com/common-tread...

Dustin has long lusted after the Yamaha XSR900 GP, in the Wayne Rainey livery, but it's never been sold in the U.S. In Japan, he finally got a chance to ride one (but in gray). Did it live up to his anticipation? See his review today at Common Tread. www.revzilla.com/common-tread...
2025 Yamaha XSR900 GP first ride review: Riding Rainey's replica in Japan - RevZilla
Dustin test rides the Yamaha XSR900 GP in Japan, a motorcycle not available in the U.S. but one he's lusted for. See if it measures up to its reputation.

Last ride of the year for the 1997 Triumph Speed Triple, mainly to run some fuel stabilizer through it. Due to seniority (and a dodgy thermostat) it has earned time off during winter, while younger motorcycles get the harsh duty. Off to its nap now.
Yeah, I think you basically have to be a pro-level racer to really take advantage of this. And possibly have a pro-level analyst looking at your data to help you figure it out. But for the Walter Mitty would-be pro-level racers, it could be a selling point, I suppose.
It's not even functional on the road. Only can be used on tracks mapped by Aprilia. Which you'd know if you read it before commenting on it.
In racing, MotoGP and top-level Superbikes can adjust power delivery, traction control, and other settings from one corner to the next on a race track to cut lap times. Now Aprilia is bringing that feature to the public. #motorcycle news at Common Tread. www.revzilla.com/common-tread...
