Damn. My band's album release date just happens to be on the same day as Mayhem's new record. What a world.

Would love to gloat about the death of Dick Cheney, but like Kissinger, he went unpunished for his many crimes throughout a long life of comfort and clout. He won, we lost, sucks for us

Quitting guitar and songwriting forever so I can pursue my true passion; Dragonball AMVs set to Linkin Park music.

Played 3 shows for Halloweekend and I remain amazed that anyone at the local/underground level can tour frequently. I'm so tired and everything hurts!

My band got featured on Metal Hammer today which is pretty cool. Kind of surreal to see our single up there next to Trivium and Babymetal. Hopefully it results in something.

The first single from my band's upcoming experimental metal concept album about Joyce's Ulysses out now everywhere you listen to music. It's very much an homage musically to Cobalt (RIP Erik Wunder) in an attempt to subvert and confront nationalism in metal. Check it out if youre so inclined.

Man, most metalheads really hate free jazz

Whatever happened to bassists for live heavy music? Saw 2 shows this week where every band just used bass backing tracks. It's an important instrument!

Spent way too much time driving a car this week with SiriusXM and listening to Liquid Metal out of some perverse curiosity. The tonal whiplash of hearing some deepcut Opeth songs and Tomb Mold before the worst pop metalcore/trendy deathcore stuff is insane.

At a loss for words. Things just went from abysmal to somehow worse for this country.

Don't worry, my coworker threw on Fox News at work, and now them and some customers are talking about how "those stupid Iran bastards are gonna get it." What a time to be alive.

Lefty friends, please stop using any horrific breach of our fundamental principles to turn it into an epic "lmao Kamala would do the same thing." I'm upset with Democratic leadership. We all are. Now is not the time to grandstand and differentiate yourself from your liberal parents.

Rewatched Twisted Pair for the 3rd time tonight. I think it's Breen's best tbh. One of my favorite movies ever.

Got to see 3 touring bands I really love this week (Emperor, Leprous and Deafheaven), and all 3 shows were amazing. Local shows are great and awesome in their own right, but this week was a nice reminder of the absolute highs only love music can deliver.

Just saw Emperor, and they might be the tightest band I've witnessed

In the peculiar position of having a 2nd record fully mixed and about to be mastered before we release our debut, that's probably a stronger album. Unsure of how to proceed/maximize each release...

Just got warned by my manager that ICE is making arrests in our area today and to watch out because our 75% Latino kitchen staff is in danger... this sucks on so many levels

Spent like 5 hours today tracking lead guitar, and most of that time was just trying to get "perfect" vibrato on harmonized leads. Wayyyyy more draining for me than even complicated riffs or progressions.

Weeping Sores is back and I'm so excited. This project doesn't (seem to) get the love that Doug's other bands do, even though it's consistently some of my favorite stuff he's involved in. So stoked.
