Isn't that a fatalistic approach? Iranians are fighting for their freedom in a way, so why shouldn't we?
Also, the US government is compartmentalized to mitigate rapid change and seizure of power, whereas Iran's government is compartmentalized to prevent another coup (this time against the clergy).

Oh, great, they're stepping up their attacks on Wikipedia. Look, Wikipedia isn't perfect. But it's one of the best websites left on the internet specifically because it holds itself to some pretty high standards.

Let's be clear a what's happening here: the "censorship" and "bias" narrative is being extended to Wikipedia bc the far right knows that getting bullshit into LLMs is how to shape reality as "answer engines" replace search engines.

Wikipedia is core to that fight so the grievance blitz is here.

You know what'd be really funny? If you went around to the DC suburbs and found a place to screen it. There aren't a whole lot of small theaters left, but there's an indie place called University Mall theaters a quarter mile from George Mason University.

Speaking of which, if you want some homemade pink lemonade, steep 1 tbsp of dried sumac in 1 qt of water at 205 F for 5 minutes, sweetened with 1 tbsp, drain/filter all the sumac, and add juice of 2 lemons. Hope the 5sf crew enjoys.

Counterpoint, like, I'm not against the safety points and stuff, but why not invest more into public transportation so we don't have to deal with increased human behavioral risks?
