Watched Shelby Oaks at Cineworld's poorly timed (Film's out TOMORROW) Secret Screaming.
Not great, very weak story and largely quite generic in terms of tone/pacing/genre/pay-off. But it's an okay watch, decently made and featuring a couple good moments. EH.

It's a pretty easy argument that a lot of the modern show's best episodes (Dalek, Midnight, Don't Blink etc) were all on the cheaper end, so it'll be nice for them to be forced to reign it in from all the big scale glitz and glamour.

Watched 'THE DESCENT' 20th Anniversary 4K thingy in cinemas tonight. Love that film, such a lean, mean and brutal horror. I do think it works better with a lower rez sorta grunge, but I still love it.

To me it's mostly about how it ends up playing. Gotta have dem good Halo shooty vibes, but also some of those levels are very repetitive and boring so they could do with tweaking. Less identical corridor wandering for hours being attacked by tiny jumpy mushrooms, please.

I really don't think the Halo remake looks THAT bad? Like...I get people are nostalgic for those OG Xbox chunky bois, but the new one looks fiiiine? Could do with looking a little less clean perhaps, but people sure are bein negative about it.
Nothing will ever beat the vibes of Halo Reach anyhow.

Looks pretty cool, nice that it's got new stuff. I can't say Halo 1 is my favourite Halo game particularly (Didn't play it when it released so I came back to it after sequels), but it's just nice to get a new Halo game (sorta) after 50,000 years. And multiplatform? HOO. Crazy. But good I suppose.
