- nowadays, I feel a character in his position would do something shitty like letting her learn a lesson about her attitude, but he doesn’t - he saves her repeatedly from creeps & while he snarks back, he does let her have her feelings and knows the difference between independence & recklessness.

Something I really like is
1) there is a lot of subtle story telling in the dialogue- you can infer a lot about why people feel the way they do, and Tia’s feelings are valid
2) Buck doesn’t punish her for her feelings, and he keeps showing up and protecting her, no bullshit
