REPORT: A sublime Jack Marriott hat-trick saw off Wycombe at the SCL, but #ReadingFC were collectively well off the pace.

RATINGS: Perhaps the most obvious man of the match winner we'll ever have, as Jack Marriott puts in a fantastic goalscoring performance against Wycombe in an otherwise generally underwhelming #ReadingFC display.

Full time, 3-2!

Massive struggle of a game for #ReadingFC today, Wycombe a real threat that we struggled to contain. Game management and defence need to get a lot, lot better

Bailed out by a fantastic Jack Marriott hat-trick though, and that's two wins in two!
February 14, 2026 at 2:30 PM
HT, Jack Marriott 2-0 Wycombe!

A much more difficult 45 than the scoreline would suggest, #ReadingFC not having much in the way of territory or the ball, having to do a lot of defending

BUT Marriott has been at his ruthless best. Two moments of quality from a top marksman 🎯

"I want to feel more connected to my club than I do now. I wanted to be more bothered by losses, and more elated by goals and wins."

For Harry, there should be a stronger connection between fans and #ReadingFC than there currently is.

Coaching a lot at the moment so not getting to do the ratings as much as I'd like

Was great to get to write during a #readingfc win tonight!

Great debut from Benn Ward - very interested to follow his career going forward
RATINGS: A great evening for #ReadingFC's centre-backs, Paudie O'Connor getting a late winner and Benn Ward impressing on his debut.

Not a great showing overall, although two players were real standouts at the back.

Important 2-1 win, Paudie O'Connor with a vital late goal to secure the points.

Good enough reaction to Saturday, and a great reaction to being pegged back to 1-1.

But this was overall a low-quality, ugly game in which #readingfc were well off their best. Big improvement needed.
February 10, 2026 at 9:41 PM
And that's half time, 0-0

Overall a naff 45 mins from #readingfc, with a decent 10 mins or so later in the half

Generally a really low quality game of League One football all round. Goalless draw sums it up

Ward and Fraser in for Keane (injured) and Savage #ReadingFC

Looks a very defensive setup, perhaps...

Pereira;
O'Connor, Dorsett, Ward;
Nyambe, Doyle, Wing, Fraser, Roberts;
Lane, Marriott

Not a surprising result. Annoying, but not surprising. That will be that for the season now. Big chance for the young players on loan to catch the eye whilst at their temporary clubs as a clear out of this mish/mash squad is needed #readingfc
