Similar situation in NZ, I heard stories of locals taking tourist rental cars keys off them because they were driving so dangerously! The speed limits are often too high here for certain roads IMO, same in NZ, and doesn't help that most visitors are driving on the other side of the road.

Absolutely! I had a final check in time of 10pm for guests (again, room in my house so no auto check in situation) and one lot of guests informed me they were leaving the West Coast at 7pm. They got in at 1.30am 🙄 One of the many reasons I don't rent out my room any more! 😅

I used to rent out a spare room on airbnb years ago and many tourists vastly underestimated the size of Tasmania (so tomorrow we'll leave the Huon at about 10, go to Bicheno and to Maria Island in the morning and then drive across to Stanley in the afternoon. Um no. No you will not 😆)

My neighbour keeps giving me a ridiculous amount of lemons because I just live in one of those kinds of quaint rural situations, so it's lemon drizzle cake time! (And preserved lemons, and lemon curd, and lemon sorbet)

May you find someone who looks at you with as much adoration as my cocker spaniel looks at cake.

If your experience with packing/moving are anything like mine it's probably in a box with the shoes because of reasons that made sense at the time. One time it took me 13 years to find something I'd misplaced between moves 😆
