Loads of drama with the 19yo this year, not fun, but there is really nothing like having fandom friends who will send you unpublished snippets of fic for your current preferred pairing when you are down, the healing vibes are immaculate

I guess technically twelve - five WIPs and seven posted fics - but only one of the WIPs is actually a thing, the others are like, a sentence or a few paragraphs that are going nowhere. But, wow, I posted seven stories this year! All in the space of three crazy months!
Including WIPs, how many fics have you worked on since January 1st? Original fiction counts too!

Man, I have such a bad track record with Noah Reid. March 2020, show canceled for obvious reasons. November 2023, I was sick. December 2025, he gets injured. Sorry I cursed you by buying tickets to your show, Mr Reid! At least I got to see you in Toronto that one amazing time!

Things I may have finally got through my head in this round of fandom: 1) write nice long comments on people's fic whenever you can 2) do not engage in fandom drama if you can possibly avoid it 3) yes, people will probably like that really dumb story that you thought was too self indulgent to post

Went to a lot of book conferences when I worked in publishing and realized the librarians were all having much more fun than I was, so I went back to grad school and got my MLIS.

The hyperfixation is releasing its iron grip on my brain enough that I can clean my apartment and cook real meals in occasion and read books again, which is both sad and kind of neat? I have really missed reading books. New short story collection by Lauren Groff is taking my breath away.

I am gutted to learn of @sfdirewolf.bsky.social (Alice Wong’s) passing. She was always a warm friend, a wonderful spirit, and someone who fostered my own growth. She helped me see that, as a #disabled person with chronic illness, I matter—I am whole. I’ll be posting some of Alice’s work. ❤️ forever

Went to see One Battle After Another in the theater and I do recommend it but also maybe recommend having a sedative on hand to bring your heart rate back down. That last hour was a WILD RIDE.
