Positives: defense actually held their own. offense couldn’t stay on the field long enough for the defense to rest.

Not a bad loss, as in a loss to a terrible no business team. ready to flush it and move on.

Plenty of season ahead, expectations come back to earth a little.

Lots of thoughts about today’s game:

Same mistakes as always when we lose under Lanning. o line gets bullied. Offensive gameplan feels like throwing darts instead of a structured plan of attack. Kicking game can’t get out of its own way

Two games in a row that Sappington misses a kick that can decide the outcome. If OT goes different it’s a loss to PSU. Now it’s a two possession game.

He was so bad tonight. The only good plays he was having in the first half were scrambles while almost getting sacked and throwing into multiple coverages. I thought there was no way this was going to be consistent enough to win the game

Interesting to see Oregon go with the ball control offensive plan. I’m guessing they think they can tire out the starters and start breaking big plays late in the game.

this was my concern with such a young team. the talent is there but they kind of play like they’ve been reading the headlines about how good they are. Looks like they think they can just show up and win

He’s a “great call” merchant. he hunts them the way SGA hunts a trip to the foul line. most of his calls don’t really get remembered because he tries to make every single one the greatest play of all time.

Our politics seems to be entering a phase of "right supremacy" where only the lives of right-wingers have value. Assassinating the leader of a state legislative body in her own damn home was business as usual, but all of America has to have a reckoning if it's a far-right online influencer.
