They went from being enemy combatants to perfectly harmless b/c processing living enemy combatants requires nominal forethought as to the rights of these civilians, and nominal forethought isn't Hegseth's strong suit. They just wanted to kill Venezualans because Trump wants to oust Maduro.
It didn't make me cry, but it made me want to understand it so that I might too
Like she took off from LaGuardia
It's one thing when Jeanine Pirro gets a no-bill because the public doesn't know the defendants, but a grand jury refusing to indict James Comey would be a huge L and an embarrassing news cycle.
It's the Hello fellow kids meme but with bullets
Homan jumps to the front of the pardon line. He probably also has NY exposure too, though.
I'd bet anything he didn't report it on his tax return too. Someone should ask him, get his denial public.
As a sports photographer I regularly contend with scoreboards and LED billboards. It's nearly impossible for cameras to capture what the audience's eyes see b/c shutter has to sync with the signs' output, & you need to prioritize shutter for the action (fast best), not the sign (slow best).
Even in a hypothetical where Cook was voting on rates near the time she was applying for a mortgage, mortgage rates don't immediately correspond to Fed rate, there's a sometimes-long lag. It's also ludicrous to imagine an economist in that position trying to game the system for a $10k? benefit
Humorless Democrats declined to go on Joe Rogan and accept his ant-eating challenge
No static detected. At all.
"Our tires never explode, we have built-in safeguards. It's just that our tires are best for short trips, and sometimes they'll explode if you're going to drive long distances."
Presumably they'll make allowances for studying Trump Executive Orders in the original German
It's like making a documentary about the Beatles with interviews of roadies.
The Times wistfully pining for a return to his coquettish side
I was going to follow up with a transfer portal mention. Same gripe from the same people. Both are about athletes' increased options with respect to money (NIL) and mobility (transfer portal). It's easy to see why Trump took to the argument.
He's talking about NIL money, which cranky old-timers hate because compensating college athletes for the billions they generate shatters the illusion of amateurism they still cling to.
I think the bum rap is b/c passive voice is often used by elected officials (or news media slanting in their direction) to hide the ball, and has become a popular evasive go-to; and that's usually when passive voice is flagged, not when quoting Mark Twain.
The contrived draftee & management segment is stilted enough for the participants, but what makes it next-level cringe is the interviewer. And that's not a knock on Leah Hextall, everyone was set up to fail here.
You can probably count on one hand the number of Democrats nationwide who might be swayed by a Dershowitz endorsement
Julia Louis-Dreyfus > Dreyfus Foundation?
Perhaps anomaly isn't the right term for a thing that routinely happens
I wasn't going to remind you of this until I saw you suggest Luke Lilledahl isn't sith-worthy
