#WritingCommunity #photography #amquerying #noAI. Grumpy Grammarian-Baker-Amateur Photographer-Hiker-Nature-Humor-Movies-Quotations-Unpublished but hoping. Photos mine. Typos galore. FWIW.
#BlueSkyArtShow is #cold. How appropriate. My camera is not supposed to be used in under -5degF, but I may try it today anyway. Here are a few cold-weather images.

Paris #scape. From a trip a few years back. We could have walked around this place for a month and not seen one-tenth of it.

#BirdoftheDay #walking Here is a guy, taking one careful step at a time because he would rather not do any log rolling.

So, today is National Pie Day, and it's the good kind of pie! Forget math for now, I like this one.
January 23, 2026 at 12:58 PM
#BirdOfTheDay theme is #TailsUp? Okay. This guy is "tails up" and everything else all over the place.

Time to turn if off for another day. Hoping for judgement for all those trying to ruin things for their own benefit and egos. I will keep my fingers crossed for safety for all of you in the path of that ice storm. Good night.

Is #BirdOfTheDay still #singing? If not, it will not be the first time I have screwed up. Here are a couple Barn Swallows either singing or yodeling.

Random image for #WhateverWednesday. The look. "Guess what, Ace, we got you a new puppy to play with!"

Time to call it quits for the day. For #TextureTuesday, if that is still active, a duck on water made electric by the sun setting. Hoping for the return of sanity, common sense, judgement for those who deserve it, relief for those who suffer, and other things we are sorely lacking these days.

Is #Twosday still a thing? If so, here are two little ones looking to see where they have been.
January 20, 2026 at 11:48 PM
To all you people who are fighting this, thanks.
January 20, 2026 at 11:45 PM
How do I always almost forget #RockinTuesday? Here is something different. We had the grand-kids over the other day and they left this rocking chair display. A different kind of rockin', but a lot of fun.

A quotation for the day:

Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.

#BirdoftheDay #winterlight Sure, why not. A Red-Bellied Woodpecker, just hanging out and looking around.

A picture for #BlueSkyMonday with three of my favorite things: blue sky, a Great Lake, and birch trees. I'm going out now for my therapy walk. It's sub-20 degrees and dropping, the wind is howling, and it's snowing. In case you're wondering, I don't know why I'm going out either. Have a great week.🤪
January 19, 2026 at 1:18 PM
Okay, one more post for #Stunday. No, I don't know why either. Just trying to take my mind off all of the crap going on. A sequence of images of a Great Blue Heron taking off. Have a great week. It's going to be a COLD one here. Maybe some opportunities to talk pictures of ice, the natural kind!

Okay, now I find that there is such a thing as
#SmallPoemSunday. I am not a poet, but I have been writing two-line poems lately (Yes, I know that does not make any sense). These poems are kind of an Ogden Nash exercise for me, if you know who that is. Anyway, here are a couple.

Panther hunting in the wintery blue shadows of our backyard. Okay, maybe it is only a black cat, but HE probably thinks he's a panther and worthy of a #Stunday posting. Have a pleasant and peaceful Sunday, and here's hoping for change, real change, soon.

#BlueskyArtShow is #one. #BirdOftheDay is #perfectperch I am hoping this covers both. And I will never be able to figure out how birds can sit like this. It CANNOT be comfortable! Find your perfect perch, and have a comfortable weekend.

Early #scape post for tomorrow. Is it possible to have a goose scape? In winter they congregate on a river near my house. Sometimes there are only a few, sometimes quite a few. This was a "quite a few" day. Stitched together five images to create this.

#UrbanGaze I will never get tired of seeing the amazing craftsmanship and artistry of the people who built these roads.

Diving in late for #BirdOfTheDay #longbeaks A group of pelicans, diving with their long beaks to see if they can score a fish from a group they have spotted.
January 15, 2026 at 2:37 AM
To end #WhateverWednesday, a wall from an old brewery that they must have built with whatever they could find lying around. Hoping you all have a great rest of your week.
January 14, 2026 at 11:51 PM
One more post for #Twosday before I go and pretend that I will be able to sleep. Two bricks, engaged in an endless tug of war. Hoping for a better day tomorrow for all of the good people and judgement for all the others.

#RockinTuesday A rocky shore at Bar Harbor with every kind of rock, and a small pool in the middle of it all reflecting a blue sky.
