Jesus-follower (Anglican/Mennonite hybrid), husband, dad, grandpa, friend, neighbour, folk musician.

If you start following me and I see that you follow 14 million other people, I may well block you, for obvious reasons.
Just finished reading @charlieangus104.bsky.social's book 'Dangerous Memory: Coming of Age in the Decade of Greed' a brilliant autobiographical look at the 1980s in Canada. Five stars out of five.’

One could wish these things came at a more convenient time, but after two years of writer's block (despite several attempts), I've finally got a novel plot that's ticking along like an express train, and is almost writing itself.

1. I wonder why Canada might see China as a more reliable trading partner than the USA?

2. Trump doesn't learn - the fastest way to unite Canadians behind our PM is to insult him by calling him 'Governor Carney'. The last time he called a PM 'Governor', Carney came from behind and won an election.

‘Earlier there were a lot of priests, for they died and had to be replaced. But Jesus’ priesthood is permanent. He’s there from now to eternity to save everyone who comes to God through him, always on the job to speak up for them.’

I don't usually use this kind of language on social media, but Trump should just f___ off. We're all sick to death of him and his childish tantrums. He's eighty years old, for crying out loud; when is he going to become an adult?
Trump was very unhappy with Carney's speech. Trump said "I watched your prime minister yesterday. He wasn't so grateful — they should be grateful to the U.S., Canada. Canada lives because of the United States...Remember that, Mark, the next time you make your statements."

Wow.

I’m not aware that anyone has ever felt the need to fundraise to support their election to the General Synod of the Anglican Church of Canada.

I’m disappointed that it has come to this in the Church of England.
