Vancouver-based creative (and volunteer high school Bball coach) who is on here mostly for #basketball (especially #Raptors) and sometimes tv shows and movies and to post my landscape photography. Former writer for Raptors Republic.
I actively ignore hockey, but is that fact really true? It’s been 33 years since a Canadian team has won the Stanley Cup? So Canadian teams have won titles in baseball and basketball more recently, and they only have one Canadian team.

See, they aren’t completely blind, which is great news. That means when Florida is half under water, they will start warning about the dangers of climate change.

Perhaps he thought it was his girlfriend.

Well, it looks like the Raptors will face a Pistons team on Wednesday without Duren and Stewart.
Pistons, Hornets fight.

Vancouver deserves another chance after the debacle of the first one. So many things worked against the success of the franchise, including historically bad management (which was actually recommended by the league) and a historically low Canadian dollar.
Hearing Vegas and Seattle are next in line for NBA teams… makes sense, but I’d really love to see Vancouver or Montreal get serious consideration one day too. Canada can definitely support another team.
From Brad Townsend:

“I’m hearing the NBA Board of Governors are likely to vote on expanding by two teams this summer and Las Vegas and Seattle are favored.”

If the NBA expands into the Las Vegas and Seattle markets, the West will need to shed one team. Looking at Wolves, Grizzlies, and maybe Pels.

That’s because actions stopped having consequences in the US. If they hadn’t, Trump would have been in jail years ago.

Honestly, you can’t blame it on one person. Yes, Obama was a factor, but then so was Reagan, whose policies slowly destroyed the American middle class which lead to more white men feeling disenfranchised. Clinton and Bush’s policies (or lack of policies) lead to Obama. Which lead to Trump.

I would have honestly believed a real Republican official would say this.

It never ceases to amaze me when people who have more money they can spend in a lifetime start hawking immoral products so they can make a little more money.
February 6, 2026 at 10:58 PM
I saw it. I figured Mathurin would be the main player, but two first rounders including an unprotected is a lot for a non-star player. Let’s hope they don’t regret it.

How is this not from the Onion?
February 5, 2026 at 11:03 PM
I haven’t actually seen what the deal is, though. Have you?
February 5, 2026 at 7:20 PM
There’s Missi and Gafford. I don’t see any star players who the Raptors should go after. I didn’t fully understand them going after Sabonis, though.
February 4, 2026 at 11:39 PM
Now send him back to where he started in New Orleans in a deal for Missi!
February 4, 2026 at 9:34 PM
They were able to move up a spot to 2 in the 2018 draft and grab Marvin Bagley. Why are you complaining???
February 4, 2026 at 8:39 PM
Chet Holmgren is from Minnesota, and much may become part of Canada, soon.
February 4, 2026 at 8:30 PM
Breaking! Dallas Mavericks move up another spot in the 2018 draft in order to select Marvin Bagley, moving from 5 to 3 and now to 2. No word on if they’re trying to move up to 1 to select DeAndre Ayton.

I’m late on this, but congrats to @blakemurphy.bsky.social for being called up to the big show and not making a fool of himself.
February 4, 2026 at 6:17 AM
For a guy who’s 12th all time in assists, he’s one of the most selfish players in the league.
February 4, 2026 at 6:08 AM
I always think these things with court side fans are funny, because these are rich people who can afford court side seats. The fans players should be doing this with are the ones in the bleachers who don’t have ultra wealthy parents.
February 4, 2026 at 5:48 AM
No team that gets Harden wins the trade because he will eventually become disgruntled and destroy the team.
February 4, 2026 at 1:58 AM
It’s always funny when trades no one thinks are going to work out well, doesn’t end up working out well. There was a reason Orlando was desperate to trade him away.
February 3, 2026 at 11:30 PM
I have no idea what the point of this is for any of the teams. Chicago has way too many guards, Detroit sells low on Ivey and Minnesota gets…
I can only assume something else is coming.
February 3, 2026 at 10:40 PM
I completely missed the Jaden Ivey/Mike Conley trade. And that entire trade is beyond confusing. I can only imagine it’s a prelude to something else.
