In this generative session we will explore techniques and writing exercises that defy notions of what “storytelling” can be. We’ll focus on voice, character, and emotional experience in settings that range across what reality COULD be! Scholarship available!

Storytelling originated in hyperbole, nonrealism, other worlds, and mythology. Tales of death-defying feats that elicit horror, fear, hope, triumph, or romance are the bedrock of fiction. In this generative session we will explore techniques and attempt writing exercises that defy preconceived notions of what “storytelling” can be. We’ll be focusing on voice, character, and emotional experience in settings that range across what reality could potentially be.
