Māori, Pākehā, pāpā. Currently 'in between'. A recently former journalist, producer, looking for new mahi 😉.
Into sports, kapa haka, politics mainly.
Opinions are my own, radiradirah the usual caveats apply.
Whoever TPM recruits to stand in Te Taitokerau would be wise to ask for some sort of compensation for the humiliation they're going to get at the election after Kiri all but slammed the door shut on any chance of goodwill after this pohiri.

Credit (card) where it's due - if anyone knows about Labour 'not telling the truth' when an MP leaves ole Matua Shane is your man....

One thing that bugs me about *those* emails is how casual these people were using gmail to discuss trips to Epstein Island... If there is anything that makes me question the credibility of these files it's that, doesn't quite make sense that they weren't using an encrypted program of somekind 🤔🤔🤔

What kind of person hears "We want to ban slavery" and thinks "Red Tape!"

Anything for a sweet, sweet, Atlas dollar I guess!

Abolishing prisons is a wonderful aspiration. However the reality is there will always be a need for the most heinous offenders.
What TPM should campaign to build solid fences on the top of the cliff, not removing the ambulance completely.

A year or so ago National MP's trupped over each other to claim credit on the Government's behalf for inflation dropping to 2.2%. "Back on track" they yelled. Today I can't see a single post talking about inflation. I wonder why?

Me and my partner are WFH today. Between us we have 2 laptops and 4 phones. So the home office is a constant cacophony of notifications, vibration alerts, keyboard typing and random phone calls. We need a bigger house with 2 home offices. Hahahaha

Why do Councils wait until it's too late to get contractors clearing drains and culverts? Driving around the North Island over summer and it really stood out to me how overgrown drains and culverts were.... now they're blocked during heavy rains contractors are out desperately clearing them.

The saying "the good die early" has never been truer than the news about my whanaunga, friend, colleague. Pepe, you will be missed. You lived many lives in your time, and created many with your writing! Kia tapu hoki koe nā Tūariki, nā Porouhorea

If you can please consider giving a little to this amazing kid. A good mate of mine and his husband have been unrelenting in giving this kid the best chance at life they can. He's now a NZ Karate rep but needs help getting to England for the world cup.

Living comfortable in a newbuild Auckland home has left me woefully unprepared for this powercut at my FIL's house in Ōpunakē. Luckily I got my phone to 80% charge when power went down.

For some the "sound of summer' is cicadas in the sun, or waves crashing on the shoreline.

For me it's leather on willow accompanied by sirens as the ambulance rounds the Basin Reserve... ah, summer is here!

Fining shiplifters $500 "fees" on the spot is almost the perfect "How to look like you're doing something without doing anything" action for a desperate government.

The prospect of jailtime for theft hasn't dettered prospective shoplifters, so I don't see how a $500 'fee' will be any better.

If, by chance, Duncan Webb's bill to repeal the RSB was to be drawn from the tin, election year will become spicy.... imagine, National and NZ1ST voting against repealing it because of a coalition agreement, only to campaign months later on repealling it.

Te Pāti Māori are talking a good game on "kōtahitanga" and being the political force for Māori, but anecdotal evidence will suggest the leaders actively destroyed any chance of total support.

Are we at a point where holding public offices, (Politicians and their staff, Police, Judges, Military etc. etc.) should be considered an aggravating factor if convicted of crimes?

Can we trust him though? He not long ago claimed only one fire truck had broken down, then had to walk it back. His Charter school Agency signed a contract with a non-existent organisation. 🤷🏽

The conspiracy also relies on Dems putting loyalty to the Party first to protect their heroes, therefore assuring the files stayed secret. They failed to consider the chance that Dems (younger, women and POC) hated creepy sicko PDFiles regardless of party affiliation.
Republicans spent 10 years radicalizing their own base over QAnon. They promised to release the Epstein Files, which they said would be the proof and expose the conspiracy.

What they failed to realize was Trump is at the center of it and the base wouldn't forget.

Further questions for Police to be pressured with:
How many people from lower socio-economic areas have been affected by Police manipulating evidence?
How many more from higher socio-economic/ruling class areas have been protected by Police manipulating evidence?

My take on the use of the 'waka jumping' law is it would be hard for TPM to argue distortion considering they are both Electorate MPs and TPM already have more MPs than party vote allocation. IMO they can't argue those two seats 'belong to them'.
