That is not the norm these days. Even when my daughter’s family physician suspected she had ADHD, she was sent to a neuropsychologist for testing. Most insurance requires at least a psychiatrist to do the testing and school’s too.

That was my experience too. And expensive af. $2,000 out of pocket for each of our testing (mine, and both of my kids). You can’t get medicine for ADHD without a proper diagnosis, so I doubt people are over diagnosed. I think it’s still likely they’re under diagnosed due to the barriers for testing.

I went through 2 days of 8 hour testing each day by a neuropsychologist. I was tested for ADHD, ASD, and as well as a few other issues. I was diagnosed with ADHD, ASD, OCD, and a reading disability at 45. I disagree. I think people are still under diagnosed.

Anyone who believes autism is new…if you give me your grandparents name, DOB, and where they lived, I bet I can find people in YOUR family who likely had autism. The U.S. Census data is a great dive in finding people who likely had autism.

I’d go even further. Give me the name of your grandparents, DOB and where they lived and I can go through the U.S. census data and show you who in YOUR family likely had autism.

Yes, I knew a lot. My great aunt, 2 of my uncles, my mom…and when I did my family tree and census data I could see all of the adults who lived with a relative until they passed and never had a job…likely autistic. Have you ever studied any census data? There are LOTS of signs.

This is BS and not scientific evidence. My sister who is full on crunchy all organic, no plastics, all homemade food, nursed all of her kids…has 2 of her 3 kids on the spectrum…you know why? Because SHE’s on the spectrum. It’s inherited. We even know some of the genes now.

This!!! The pandemic was what made me realize it. My son being tested was and suggestion by his examiner that I be tested was what made me finally be tested myself.

It was my response during my son’s assessment that had my son’s examiner suggest I be tested too. I was open to the suggestion because the pandemic put my in a position where my coping strategies I’d developed were tested to the max.

Exactly. And it was the pandemic that finally made me realize I was autistic and not just “particular” as I had been told by every teacher since PreK. I also finally had the time and inclination to get tested.

Trump has gotten away with violently trying to overthrow the government. Whatever Epstein and his accomplices had on him must be far worse than what we already know and what's in the Epstein files. Trump has gotten away with so much yet he's terrified of Epstein. The truth will come out eventually.
