Well, got to play in my second Set Championship ever yesterday and the results are in...WE GOT THERE!!!
Overall very happy with my performance. My total record was 8-0-1, and I only dropped a single game in one round.

In other news, I know I said earlier that I'd be back with some "New Year's Resolution" style goals for the game of Lorcana and how it exists in my life in 2026. I've been thinking a lot about this and think I've come down to two goals:

Ended up not playing Lorcana last weekend because of family things, and today's weekly league was much smaller due to DLC Richmond, so I opted not to go. I'll be testing some core constructed at a closer LGS tomorrow (I hope) so keep an eye out for that.

Saturday I went to my LGS's casual Infinity event. Rd 1 I played 🔵⚪ vs 🟡⚪songs and won.
Rd 2 I played core constructed against the same op, 🟣⚪vs🔴🟣evasives and lost. I didn't realize this was a deck now.

I'm back! After a week at Disney for work and getting through the holiday, I'm ready to talk about how my Infinity Weekend event went, as well as look forward to another Infinity free play at my LGS tomorrow. With the snowstorm that hit, we only had 23 players, but it was still an interesting event!

No Lorcana last weekend as I had a few work responsibilities and some family events. Keep an eye out for this Saturday's posting, as I'll be playing in a 40 person capped Infinity Weekend event Saturday afternoon! Going to see how well Top can handle a full room of folks in a 3-round swiss event!

We're back! Over the past month, I've done a lot of testing in my personal time, and did take the Ruby/Steelsongs list to a casual Infinity event at my LGS to find that Powerline was just too fragile.

We're back! Over the past month, I've done a lot of testing in my personal time, and did take the Ruby/Steelsongs list to a casual Infinity event at my LGS to find that Powerline was just too fragile.

During rd 2 this past weekend, my opp was talking Infinity format with me and my rd 3 opp. Rd 2 opp focuses strictly on Core Constructed, but is a great player who I respect. He made the comment that he didn't see how Infinity wasn't super busted with 🔴⚪ singer control able to mow everything down.

Let's talk about cards from Whispers in the Well! When I look at new cards, my first thoughts go towards the Blurple Top list I've spent the last year working on. So, these cards, along with my thoughts, will be geared towards improving that deck in hopes that I can play it at Challenge #3 in Indy

Forgot to post about Lorcana last weekend. Play was Infinity free play, so no structured tournament. I played blue/steel and went 2-0, 2-0, 2-1. 2 of them were on random piles while the other was on red/steel singers.

Haven't posted about Lorcana results in a while since the past few weeks included the release of Fabled and I've had to take time to rebuild some things. I also had some family things that kept me from playing the Infinity event held at my LGS to give us time to build Core Constructed lists.

Didn't play Lorcana this week because it was my wife's birthday, but been doing a fair amount of testing at home. A few thoughts that I want to share, as I think things are going to move quickly once we get to September and Fabled comes out.

Tested my "Top/Miracles" Bruno deck and included the new Moby Dick/Donald Duck combo.
Overall, I liked that the deck could pivot in a couple different directions. I'm not convinced on the new combo being easy to include though, as it takes a ton of commitment to get to 8 ink.

Work and wedding stuff has been crazy over the past month, but I'm back! Just opened my case of Reign of Jafar and ordered everything I still needed for the OTK combo deck and set 8 version of Chernadogs. Look forward to some commentary/input starting with those once they come in!
