We want to work with expert organisations:
• Tackling structural racism, discrimination & health inequities
• Involving people with lived experience in leadership (at least 75% of staff from the target communities, including at board-level)
• Driving wider conversations & building partnerships
That’s why we’re looking to invest £50 million into a new partnership, with ten established organisations – led by and for historically marginalised communities – in England, already working to tackle structural racism, discrimination and health inequities and ready to drive long-term change.
Established orgs have consistently shown how health inequities reflect & perpetuate structural racism. These inequities are embedded across systems. They're not b/c of isolated actions by individual orgs - they stem from longstanding structural dynamics, as recognised by health statutory bodies.
But we know not every community has the same starting point. We know from our conversations that there are loud, clear, and real concerns about deep-rooted health inequities, especially facing Black, Middle Eastern, South and East Asian, Gypsy/Roma/Traveller, & Jewish communities.
We can all play a role in tackling this. 📢

We believe everything starts with community – that’s who we serve, and that’s where you’ll find us. As part of our strategy, ‘It starts with community’, we made it one of our four guiding missions to support communities to live happier, healthier lives.
Efallai y byddwch yn sylwi bod pethau'n edrych ychydig yn wahanol pan fyddwch yn ymweld â'n gwefan.
