My client knew that salt in front of doors and windows kept out the obvious intruders—but what they didn’t teach in school was that you had to salt the less obvious ones too, like the big hole in their unfinished basement. Although I can’t complain too much; this client was my rent for the month.

The darkness swallowed the town whole

It’s exhausting trying to get inspired by what the big movie studios make. Almost every movie is now a giant ad for the next movie. The only time that was ever good was Back to the Future 2 or the Endgame saga. Can we please go back to telling self-contained stories without needing a sequel ever?
