I think the dev studio's CEO being salty on social media about not winning TGA's Game Of The Year (losing to Astro Bot, natch) *really* helped catapult it's reputation into the garbage bar the most adamant of Weirdos trying to keep it relevant.

I've been deep diving mental health improvement stuff lately and "have a crafting hobby" keeps coming up. There are a few reasons.

The first is that it gives you a sense of intrinsic worth and validation. "do people like me" is less of an issue if you are making cool things.

I like what its doing, but I also do agree that the creative team citing IHNMAIMS might've set up the wrong expectations, especially since so much of the show has been *about* the characters avoiding (or doubling down on in Jax's case) the mentality of that sort of scenario.
