Will the stream be named The Plateau of Lang?

Since the beginning of time we have yearned to do it.

Having had the chance to play RuneQuest for the first time with Chaosium’s Andrew, I couldn’t help but appreciate the depth of the world building and thought that went into designing a respectful facsimile of a Bronze Age that could have been. Plus of course, you know, interceding gods.

It’s underway! KaijuCon Nagoya 2025 has started with the release festivities for The Sutra of Pale Leaves! And what’s that in Michael O’Brien’s hands…?👀 @singularitysons.bsky.social @chaosium.bsky.social

I’m boothing at #asianboardgamesfestival #abgfmy2025 at 1st Avenue Mall in Penang this weekend! Also trialing something new, a little showcase of tabletop RPGs from across #RPGSEA. If you’re in Penang, come by and check out some indie tabletop RPGs and storygames!

Just a bit over a week until KaijuCon Nagoya 2025 - a day of Japanese and English tabletop gaming and a celebration of the release of Sutra of Pale Leaves! If you don’t have your ticket yet, grab it! Many TRS members will also be in attendance as players and GMs!

There are dozens of us Troikallies in Japan! Dozens!

There’s also the (probably even more widespread?) alternative universe stuff where things are even worse!

Actually forgot to mention that this reminds me of the Merry Mushmen book design which also features this type of dust jacket. It’s very useful!

The @duckandcrow.bsky.social goodness has arrived, thanks for the message! 😊 Going right on top of the pile of recently arrived things. First impression: Clean formatting, maps in the inside of the dust jacket (usability!)…great start! Coming to a table very soon…

PS: We need logo stickers!

The history of all hitherto existing D&D-likes is the history of class struggles.

Paid Kriegsspiel: The conversation flows freely at the table until a point of disagreement about outcomes in the fiction emerges between participants. Players then put money on their desired outcome and the richest player gets their way.

Shipping is the final boss for physical RPG product collectors in Asia!

Tokyoites, shoutout to providers of good OSR stuff with shipping costs that don’t make you cry.
