Most of the injuries are minor. MC gets kicked in the crotch by his soon-to-be lady friend. He dismisses that quickly.
A character gets killed in a humorous way. He doesn't brush that off.

Not sure this counts, but before retirement I was tasked with writing each department's mission statement. It would be wordsmithed by the department head. It took me awhile to realize many people could rewrite, but could not write.

Who is your most chaotic character?
I have a mad scientist with good looks and great hair. He abuses drugs and alcohol so much that when he goes out for lunch, he needs to get drunk and high so that he can pass the iris scanner to reenter his lab.

I try to avoid repetition. That tends to distract from the humor. The last thing I want is for the reader to be annoyed before the punchline in a story.

How about they remake Woody Allen's "Sleeper"? In this plot, they find Bond's nose in the rubble and SPECTRE uses it to clone Bond. They intend to make a Bond that works for them. MI6 must intercept the new Bond before he is brainwashed.
