Earlier this week I had the opportunity to visit BEACON Kitchen - and it was incredible.

BEACON is a shared-use commercial kitchen right here in Charlottesville that helps culinary entrepreneurs turn their ideas into reality. Love seeing things like this in our community!

My niece's Valentines Day card says it best: "The 5th district is red but come April likely BLUE"!

Thank you Gloria, Council member Dr. Wilder, and Vice Mayor Wright for your support of my campaign! Proud to have three strong community leaders from Lynchburg on Team Tom.

Lapping up wisdom at The Water Dog in Lynchburg from the 'Lynchburg Better Together' slate - good public schools, affordable housing, and civility all ranking high!

I’m at Bibleway in Danville this morning to honor the passing of the late, great Rev. Cecil Bridgeforth. A titan of the Southside community, his legacy continues to grow through the lives he has inspired. I’m grateful for his counsel over the years and may prayers are with his family and community.

Wow! Truly humbled to receive the unanimous support today of the Cville City Council and Albemarle Board of Supervisors.

I’m honored to earn Mike Pruitt’s endorsement and have his support in this race.

Through a hard-fought and substantive campaign, Mike has never wavered in his commitment to our community, our Commonwealth, and our country.

Mike, thank you for your service, ideas, and support.

In Lynchburg, Ronnie shared his take on the importance of voting as a source of hope

I had a wonderful afternoon with the fine folks of the Lynchburg Democrats talking about everything from healthcare affordability to the shortage of local bus drivers. I am proud to support their mission and the wonderful work they’re doing for the people of Lynchburg!

District lines may change but my values don’t.

Folks from Southside to the Shenandoah know I spent my career trying to give everyone a shot in this economy and that’s what I am going to continue to fight for in this campaign and what I’ll fight for in Washington.
February 6, 2026 at 6:53 PM
From Southside to the Shenandoah, I've always fought for working families. I voted for the ACA, I've never taken corporate PAC money, and I'll keep fighting to push your paychecks up and your costs down. The district lines may change. My commitment to you never will.

UVA Dems brought the energy (and the Domino’s) that will keep fueling wins across Virginia!

It was truly a joy getting to talk to UVA Center for Politics interns about my careers in public service. As the saying goes: “The Kids are Alright"!

Images like these remind us that certain chapters in American history are not so far behind us. Today we honor Rosa Parks, whose courage and contributions remind us of what is possible.
Many of the most famous photographs of figures from the Civil Rights Movement are in black and white, which is one of the reasons we love these colorful images of Rosa Parks' 1990 birthday gala, found in her papers at the Library of Congress. Parks was born on this day in 1913.

Donald Trump called for Republican officials to “take over” voting procedures in 15 states.

People of all political parties need to be able to stand up and say this can’t happen.

Serious Question for Rep. John McGuire:

Can’t both parties agree that it’s not ok for Trump to take $500 million from a foreign country and then hand them one of our most sensitive national security assets?

Black History Month is a time for education and action. Let us honor the progress forged by heroes known and unknown, and recommit ourselves to active solidarity with those writing the next, bright chapter of that history.
