Meta is dropping fact-checking to avoid anti-conservative bias- but is there actually evidence of bias?

Wikipedia is the last major, visible platform for facts that they can’t buy. The attacks are going to be merciless.
Scoop: I obtained a confidential presentation outlining how a major conservative think tanks plans to go after volunteer editors on Wikipedia who it says are "abusing their position" and promoting antisemitism

Just finished Black Doves. It was fun, action-packed and slightly farcical. Like a sophisticated Guy Richie offering, with a gallery of odd-ball rogues to root for, it also had some poignant moments. Overall, an enjoyable Christmas thriller. I’ll be there for Season 2!

Well, Threads is officially going the way of Twitter. Does anyone have a “Starter Pack” of Meta refugees? I enjoyed it over there for a time.

Starting to put together my January-April pitches for NPR, so if you have a novel coming, let me know. Horror/science fiction/etc go to NYT and Locus, so I’m mostly looking for literary fiction, short story collections, nonfiction, and whatever else you got.

This is a great thread.

It may be the perfect time to write/release ALL the feminist murder witches.
Our independent, decentralized, and time-honored traditions of small press, archiving, bookselling, zines, word of mouth, lateral publishing networks and our general geographic spread under different state laws is a source of hope and resilience.
