My assumption is his doubt started during Vuelta, he said that to someone on the team and the Roodhoofts pounced with a better offer. It not being formalized apparently hinges on a few details on both sides but Soudal made clear they don’t intent to ride with a one who would rather nor ride for them

If they found a new sponsor it must have been before that though, Ed getting a better offer did not happen in the last few days. Allthough maybe they officially signed the contracts last week 🤞🏻

Tbf if it is pouring rain and exceptionally muddy it makes for awesome photos! Just make sure you bring a good raincover for your camera though and extra lens wipes 😅

Tbf they were cheering like crazy for all the riders, whether it was the juniors in the morning, the U23 or the men elite 🫶

Edward Plankaert changed his mind and wants to stay at Alpecin after being announced at Soudal in August.

I’m not mad about it, very useful in the sprint leadout and positioning (+I hope the titbit about the Roodhoofts able to make him a better offer means good news about finding a new sponsor)

Yeah absolutely. In the kerstperiode you have to pick a spot and stay there, but in smaller races where there is less people it is a lot of fun to move around and try different perspectives.

I’ve been a fan of Harry and Zac for a while and they have been so kind to answer my questions before 😃

My season is not over yet! Doing most days of ToH next week so who knows, maybe my favorite photo will be made next week 😉

In all seriousness, it’s not that hard. All the usual rules apply and feel free to play a bit with shutter time. One thing I do prefer is take shots from below. There is a reason you see many photographers at races sitting on the ground.

It's great right? Helicopter, passionate fans, cobbles, Mathieu. All in one shot. I still really like it. I had a shit Spring campaign taking photos due to all sorts of reasons but at least I got this one 😍

Oh I never saw that haha. I don't like Amstel but had a case of fomo (thanks @billylezard.bsky.social) so I went to make photos but never watched the race 😂

He got caught, be at the time of the sprint he didn't look nearly as bad as in Roubaix (from my POV)

On tv maybe yes, however, at least for Mathieu, seeing him at work live in the field is something else and very fun for the public. The is a huge difference in how the sport is perceived between watching on tv or watching while you are there in person.

I was looking through my photos of Roubaix for something else but came across this one, and it’s probably the only time this season we have seen Pogacar looking tired and suffering 😬
