This book divides the development of China's economic and political systems after 1949 into five stages and provides an analysis. I'm somewhat surprised that it was able to be published normally in mainland China.

I just finished reading “The Institutional Gene.” This book analyzes the evolution of social institutions in China and introduces the concept of the "institutional gene." Based on “The Selfish Gene,” "institutional meme" might be a more accurate term.

The "New Post" button is positioned too low, and when I resize the browser window, the button becomes invisible. I suggest optimizing its placement. @bsky.app

I feel that Blue Sky seems to have encountered some bottlenecks. I hope it can overcome them and achieve even greater success.

I‘ve just completed "Beyond the Imperial System". It’s a great book. China has been on this path for over a century, and the journey continues.

I’ve just finished reading ”An Elephant in the Garden“, and it’s a wonderful story. The elephant, the mother, Peter, and the Countess—all of them left a lasting impression on me.

I’ve just completed Charlotte’s Web, and it’s an amazing book. Who could have imagined that a small spider could save a pig? Their friendship is truly captivating.

I’ve read "A Series of Unfortunate Events 2 - The Reptile Room”。 It’s a bit weird and I feel it’s just so-so, just marking it as read。

I've finished 72 books in 2024, almost half in English. I should read more.

I’ve reached the end of "The Answer Is No". It’s a story about something ridiculous, yet undeniably interesting. One intriguing aspect is how love and spite can sometimes work together to solve problems.

“Giant Baby Nation" offers thought-provoking and insightful ideas. However, it appears the author first arrived at conclusions based on intuition and then structured the discussion and analysis around these preconceived conclusions. This method makes the analysis less convincing.

I’ve discovered another benefit of reading English books: they help me stay more focused and engaged with the content. Since I must read slowly and carefully, and think deeply about the material. In contrast, when I read Chinese, I tend to read very quickly, often skipping over parts of the content.

The book ”Number the Stars“ is the best among my recent reads. It was recommended by my daughter. Although it’s written for children, it deeply captivated me as well.

I tried using Obsidian Canvas to write an article today, and it exceeded my expectations. It integrates seamlessly with my other notes, which is better than Milanote. However, the interface and display still fall a bit short. @obsidian.md

I just finished reading A Series of Unfortunate Events #1: The Bad Beginning. The story is engaging, but it lacks some logical consistency. My daughter recommended this book to me—she loves the series. I’m trying to enjoy it, but I still find it a bit challenging.

I am more focused when reading English books, though my reading speed is slower. Therefore, I prefer to read only high-quality books in English, as I aim to absorb not just the language but also the inspiring ideas they offer.
