The original movie had an announcement only 2 days ahead of time, iirc there was nothing further out than that. I don't believe it was literally AT NYCC, but the first day of it

The stream celebrates Murray Gold's music in the series, so I expected it'd have limitations like no 13, but some of the clip choices to me are VERY strange.

Like, love 12's speech on war so much. But 3/4 of that clip doesn't even have music to sit on the weight of Capaldi's performance.

this Doctor Who stream has been very weird - not a problem that it only loops about an hour or two worth of clips, but what's really weird to me is there's exactly ONE clip from 15's run as the Doctor.

Theory: there are two instances where at least some Mario Kart World music gets put on Nintendo Music before the end of the year.

If DLC gets announced and released...

Guess my theory of a first look teaser trailer for the Mario Galaxy Movie @ the first day of NYCC didn't end up coming true. Thought it might because that was how they handled it for the first movie.

Regardless, I still feel confident we'll get that first trailer/teaser sometime this month!

We've known for a while that Nintendo wants to do more than just games. It's not weird to see them do animated shorts with their IPs. And the way this one was handled, it got plenty more people looking at it and talking about it than if they had included Pikmin from the start.

Maybe I'm in the minority but I really don't think this Pikmin short is anything more than just an animated short by Nintendo Pictures. I don't get any vibe there's a tease for a game or bigger announcement.

And animation isn't "pointless" because it isn't trying to sell you a specific product.
