Bryant–West Little Rock–Crystal Hill, AR F3 #Tornado – December 2, 1982! An F3 tornado cut an 18-mile path from Bryant to Crystal Hill, destroying mobile homes and damaging hundreds of buildings. Two people were killed as it moved across Saline and Pulaski Counties. buff.ly/ED6fQgY #arwx #OTD

Taylorville, IL EF3 #Tornado – December 1, 2018! A major Illinois outbreak produced 29 tornadoes, including the EF3 that hit Hewittsville and Taylorville. Thirty homes were destroyed and around 500 damaged, but no fatalities occurred. The community united quickly to recover. buff.ly/C0Yub5b #ilwx

Seguin, TX F3 #Tornado – December 1, 1953!

A single tornado hit south of Seguin, destroying seven homes and injuring ten. Ratings and width vary by source, and newspapers reported many minor injuries. Thomas Grazulis described it as a “hopping tornado.”

Raleigh, NC F4 #Tornado – November 28, 1988!

A violent F4 tracked 83 miles with major destruction to hundreds of homes and dozens of businesses. Four people were killed, including two children in the early-morning hours, and more than 150 were injured.

Mt. Carmel–Altoona, AL F4 #Tornado – Nov 24, 2001! A violent F4 produced multiple zones of extreme damage, overturning dump trucks, snapping large trees at the base, and sweeping away a well-built home. 22 people were injured, but no lives were lost during the late-November outbreak. buff.ly/4Q0WCoL

The Widespread November 21–23, 1992 #Tornado Outbreak!

A massive 48-hour outbreak produced 94 tornado tracks across 13 states, including six F4s and fifteen F3s. The event caused 600+ injuries and 26 deaths, with major impacts in Mississippi and Texas.

New Minden, IL EF4 #Tornado – Nov 17, 2013! The second EF4 of the outbreak swept a home from its foundation WSW of New Minden, killing Joe and Frances Hoy. A nearby mobile home was destroyed, with one survivor thrown from a bathtub. Tracked 10.59 miles through Washington County. buff.ly/ofOUoXY

SW Kansas EF3 #Tornado – November 16, 2015!

A massive EF3 tornado over a mile wide tracked more than 50 miles through Seward, Meade, and Gray Counties, damaging farms and homes and killing livestock at a hog farm. The path narrowly missed Kismet and Plains.

Auburn, AL–Hamilton, GA EF2 #Tornado – Nov 16, 2011! A long-track tornado moved from Macon and Lee Counties, AL, into Harris County, GA, damaging homes in Auburn before strengthening to EF2 in Hamilton. Two homes were destroyed and four people were injured along its 60-mile path. buff.ly/CYxMUUK

An EF2 tornado with winds up to 130 mph struck Marion County, heavily damaging Kimball Baptist Church during Wednesday night services. Nine people were injured, including three children inside the church.

Mason City–Hudson, IL F2 #Tornado – November 13, 1951!

An F2 tornado skipped about 50 miles across Mason, Tazewell, and McLean Counties, damaging farms near Mason City and Minier and lifting roofs near Hudson. Witnesses reported seeing twin funnels near Danvers.
