Trans Pride Quilt: Call to submit a quilt block
We invite you to participate in a collaborative quilt project!

the goal is to create quilts to donate to organizations that serve trans folks for use in raffles or other fundraising efforts.

Let’s support the trans and LGBTQIA communities with our craft in the wake of this hostile administration.
Ready to participate? Size: 9 by 9 inch square
Half inch allowance on all sides
That means the final design should fit within an 8x8in square!
Color: The colors of the trans flag: pink, blue, and white
Each block does not have to include all three colors
Feel free to use other colors too
Fabric: Typical quilting fabrics: cotton, flannel, linen, etc Decoration: Feel free to sew designs, embroider, cross stitch, or other crafts; Please avoid buttons and other 3D things that can’t be sewn through
Sign your name: Sign your name somewhere on the square - make sure it’s visible!
Use something that allows the quilt to be washed, such as:
A patch with embroidered lettering
Lettering right on the block
Fabric labels
Fabric pens
Please feel free to use a pseudonym or other identifier Finished and ready to send? Check out the sign up form
Until I secure a PO Box to direct folks to, I am opting to use a Google Form to ask for your email to send submission details.
Thank you for your interest!

Finished up one last crumb quilt block for the Trans Pride Quilt Project. Now I just need to embroider my name on them, and get them in the mail.

It’s been a busy workweek for me, but I’m hoping to have a video done this weekend that shows another option for a quilt block - no sewing machine required. :)

15 people have signed up to make a quilt block! I can’t tell you how excited that makes me. Thank you all 🩵🩷🤍

Made a quilt block last night in around 20-30 minutes! This is a simple, three stripe block. This is how easy it is to participate in the project 🩷 I’ll be making more videos in the future that have ideas for someone without a sewing machine.

Organizations would be free to raffle their donated quilts off or some other method to fundraise, display it, or give it to someone in need - I mainly want to use this craft to make some sort of difference in the lives of some of our most marginalized neighbors.

The Trans Pride Quilt Project is, at this moment, just an idea. I would like to see if people are interested in something like this.
Trans Pride Quilt Project
A collaborative effort to create fabric squares to assemble into quilts that will then be donated to organizations that serve trans folks.
