Extreme: Muscle Men
Looks as the illegal steroid market in the US. Wild amounts of money involved. Quite compelling but no earth shattering revelations.

It's the little things. Yesterday at the deli counter of a local SA supermarket I kind of bemoaned that all the ham was shaved. She immediately offered to cut me some fresh slices, what a goddess. So much better to get your teeth into than sloppy wet stuff in mustard and tomato rolls for lunch.

Who is incredibly lucky? This is why you don't go bush walking on your own. Brown snakes are considered the world's second-most venomous land snake after the inland taipan (also Australian)They can kill you in under an hour. Found all down East coast round to Adelaide.

Been out and about this morning, stocked up on everything so I don't have to venture out until the great unwashed are no longer littering the highway. Saw 4 done for speeding in my round trip, probably 90 in a 60 zone, three from Vic and one SA. So stupid, the locals know the cops are feral.

If I were my dear departed Scottish mum I would be in the middle of cleaning the house in preparation for Hogmanay. We're talking washing curtains, everything in the glasses cabinet, kitchen cupboards you name it. Total frenzy Fortunately I'm not, but I might run the vacuum round on Wednesday

Beautiful afternoon here, 39°C and a cool breeze coming up off Lake Alexandrina. The thing I miss most on days like today is being able to stand long enough to cook a decent BBQ. After 4 months in hospital and a minor stroke more than 10 minutes now is impossible for me.

Baled out of shopping today because it was forecast at 36°C. Have to go tomorrow, I'm out of scripts by wed, but guess what? They've just upped tomorrow's max to 42°C. That's hot enough to burn the hairs off your legs if you're mad enough to go out in shorts. Oh well has to be done.

Found a pic of the Southern Aurora from a few days ago, no credit to the original photographer unfortunately. Thought I'd share it here since it's my bend in the river just round the corner on the left. Looking south east.

And we have a yapper! I hope to heavens that a neighbour only has visitors for the weekend and they haven't procured a new dog. Something that sounds about large rat sized had been barking non stop since before dawn and it's kinda irritating. Prayers accepted!!!

How cute is this little chap? They thought it had become extinct 30 years ago until a camera trap spotted one. And where there's one there is a strong likelihood a mate will be around.

Was having my customary post lunch nap when Harry (the white one) jumped up on the bed with a dead field mouse in his mouth, quickly followed by Bear and Max. Lots of Harry growling to be left alone. Poor wee mouse was smaller than my thumb, kicked them all off the bed, I guess Harry ate it.

I bet you've never seen anything quite as disgusting as this powdered, & plastic 'cheeses', frozen veg. All the hydrogenated fat food groups. No wonder they're so fat. Was going to comment but the poster has comments and reposts disabled, wonder why?

Neighbour seemed quite shocked that I will go to my grave having never eaten Branston Pickle, Piccalilli, any other type of relish or pickle, Worcestershire sauce, HP sauce or anything that looks or smells like diahorrea in a bottle. I have standards!
