I saw Ryan Bridge and his team putting them up at Becketts Farm in Wythall, after he’d done the same at the Maypole (and went on to do at J3 M42).

They had a cherrypicker, which must cost at least £150 a day to hire.

Definitely not his money.

There’s a private group where I live too, trying to raise funds to have them removed.

Membership is by personal recommendation only though, such is the fear the flag touchers will kick off.

I saw in Stirchley yesterday the locals had added bunting between the streetlights with flags from across the world on - bloody brilliant.

In Wythall, the parish council have said they’ll take the St George’s Cross flags down after Remembrance Day.

I think the flag fondlers are losing heart.
