This takes me back to #MeToo. Friends of the accused coming out and saying "Well he never abused ME." If a number of people claim on the record that he said racist things, it really doesn't matter if some other people don't recall him doing so. They may be telling the truth, it's just not relevant
You'll be amazed to discover that a bunch of anonymous people that Nigel Farage says definitely do exist, have confirmed that he didn't say any of the things that lots of other people say on the record that he absolutely did

Serious howls of outrage in the media this morning at what is a relatively modest Budget from Labour that does nothing more than fiddle around the margins.
It does highlight the missed opportunity. If you’re going to get this reaction anyway, why not at least get it for attempting a big swing?

If nothing else, it’s quite telling that the president treats it as a personal attack when some senators remind the armed forces they shouldn’t follow illegal orders.

Perhaps the BBC could offer Trump one of his beloved deals: they'll apologise for broadcasting sections of his speech, if he apologises for trying to overthrow an election, lying about the result, pressuring election officials, urging a crowd to "fight like hell" & pardoning those who did just that.

BBC should absolutely make a new documentary about the insurrection showing all the times Trump lied about the election result in precisely the correct context.
