If something ever happens to me because of all of this, I regret never getting to experience the peace I deserved in life after surviving through so much.

I am here. I have love. I deserve to be alive.

I will never stop fighting for that. Regardless the consequences.

"Good" Christians : It's HARD to be a Christian because of how EVIL all the other Christians ARE. I WISH I could DO something. 😢

Everyone else : Why not organize your religion and people; and help fix the problems of it being used in evil ways?

"Good" Christians : O-oh uh shit I can't sorry fam. 🤔

You got people in here saying that what you are experiencing sucks but it's good you are recognizing the reality of it and here are things you can do to negate it, and you get mad at them for it because it's making you uncomfortable.

That's -grief-. Literally.

Did I say -you- and call -you- a "Happy good one"?

No, I said "even the happy good ones".

And there is a good example, that whenever you talk/criticize about the faith as a whole, -any- Christian will make it personal about themselves because it's part of their identity.

It's relatable!

Also, I'm not complaining; I'm discussing your situation with you. And I'm iterating that what people in your faith are doing isn't anything new and it's -always- been like this.
trekkielancaster.bsky.social
I never implied those things. I just recommended that, despite feeling like you can't do anything; I'm letting you know that you can and should.

"It's hard to be a Christian when..."

If you find your faith being hard to be; that means your faith is being tested.

I grew up Christian. Catholic to be precise. I know how it all works.
trekkielancaster.bsky.social
But then you complain that you can't be a part of what changes that.

You can. Even in small ways. So if you won't, don't complain.

Rewritten. Edited. Added. Subtracted. This version. That version. Whatever.

The foundations of Christianity, like -most if not all- religion is a set of moral guidelines backed up by mythology to make purpose to idle humanity wonder why it existed in a universe it couldn't understand at the time.
trekkielancaster.bsky.social
Okay, but Christianity has always had a concept of "control". How to do things. What to do and not do. What was morally okay and what wasn't. If you did this, you got punished. If you did this instead, you didn't. It's -always- been that way.
trekkielancaster.bsky.social
I think you would agree with me if I said, it's past time for Christians to take a good long hard look at themselves in the mirror.

Including the happy, "good" ones who feel bad about what is going on.
trekkielancaster.bsky.social
You did. Your "rebuttal" was to throw at me a list of some of the worst atrocities in mankind that have come and gone.

As if to compare them to being worse than what your religion is currently doing to -thousands- of people.
trekkielancaster.bsky.social
You want more "woke" Christians? Make them. Get involved in your faith in a way that you want to see it improved.

Otherwise, stop complaining. It's fucking wild to watch Christians complain about anything related to their faith when they control most of Western society.
trekkielancaster.bsky.social
At this point you're just finding excuses to avoid the accountability you are afraid of embracing because you -want- something that you might have to create yourself.

Get involved. Find ways to get involved locally. There's more to life than Invisible Sky Dad.

Me too. I'm a trans woman with barely any civil rights at all, I make NO money because I am currently unemployed, and my rent is nearly 2k a month.

We all have it hard. But we find ways.

There are ways to organize without money. We've done it for -centuries- as well.
trekkielancaster.bsky.social
Be the difference you want to see in the world.
trekkielancaster.bsky.social
Stop waiting for somebody else to give you what you want then. Fight for it. Make new groups.
trekkielancaster.bsky.social
They aren't perverting it though. This is how Christians have used their faith to treat other people that they deem unworthy for -centuries-.

Literally. Historically.
trekkielancaster.bsky.social
None of it is new. It's been a problem, people have screamed about it for decades, but you get a pity party because your faith is testing you.

-Sure-.
trekkielancaster.bsky.social
You want to talk about how bad it feels to have an identity crisis because your faith is being tested? It's because you're waking up. You're seeing what your faith has been used for -centuries- against anybody Christians have deemed "lesser". Other religions, LBGTQ, and even entire races of people.
trekkielancaster.bsky.social
That last one on there? Fuck, the entire Catholic Church basically let Hitler do what he wanted because they were afraid of pissing him off. Christianity was weaponized against Jewish and LGBTQ people during the 1930's by Nazi Germany.
trekkielancaster.bsky.social
Correct, you don't. Just because other genocides have happened in the world doesn't mean you get to avoid acknowledgement that your faith has contributed to a lot of problems throughout history.
