What do you mean, „echo chamber“? I, for one, found Paddington 2 underwhelming.
In my family, John Mahoney was always (and will always be) „the judge from Suspect“ and not Frasier‘s dad.
I think everybody has a “Wallace Shawn from Young Sheldon” — my first one would probably be “Vincent Price, the guy who did the voice of Ratigan in The Great Mouse Detective”
That tracks. I stopped working with The Big Word over 10 years ago when they hit me with a similar email informing me that they were reducing my rates.
I see The Big Word continues to live up to its nickname #ThePigTurd

I appreciate @privateeyenews.bsky.social continuing to cover grasping mega agencies and the impact of AI on the translation industry.
I liked it but didn’t love the ending. I should definitely give his others a try, though.
Just finished When the Wolf Comes Home, so that was Halloween appropriate. Now starting on Tana French‘s The Hunter.

In other good renewal news, FX ordered a second season of Adults. I really enjoyed the twentysomething hangout comedy's first season, and am looking forward to more.
Peanut butter m&ms are superior to most things in life!
Some well-deserved Kyle Chandler love
Kyle Chandler is one of the purest, most precise screen actors we have. He's played in all kinds of movies and he's always just right. I have yet to catch him in an inauthentic moment, even when the script or filmmaking are weak. He also has Tom Hanks-level "how can you not love this guy" energy.
I noticed the same thing in Silo.
If Renny Harlin does with orcas what he did with sharks, I am totally on board.
Melissa Barrera joins John Travolta in survival thriller ‘BLACK TIDES’ from Renny Harlin.

The film follows an estranged father trying to reconnect with his daughter and grandson, when their sailboat is attacked by rogue orcas.

The Diplomat is very much my thing. You watch an episode and you really want to know what is going to happen in the next one; therefore, you keep watching. This is an interesting approach and I believe more television shows should try it.
Too many films I want to see, so I might go and catch After the Hunt and Good Fortune today. It’s not the most cohesive double feature but it’ll do.
Yup. Case in point: Elon Musk.
I usually just check my notifications and then quickly get outta there. 😆
I‘m rarely there, but Facebook is just weird now. Why am I getting these fake (presumably AI generated) movie news? I’ll be honest, „Judie“ made me lol, though.

My strongest book-related belief is that the paperback should come first and then the hardback after for people who want a fancy edition.
Are they gonna fall in love? Please tell me they’re gonna fall in love!
First look at Sam Raimi’s new film ‘SEND HELP’, starring Rachel McAdams and Dylan O'Brien.

The horror thriller follows 2 co-workers who hate each other but get stranded together on a desert island after their plane crashes.

In theaters on January 30, 2026.

Listening to the “Long Walk” soundtrack, composer Jeremiah Fraites mostly opts for piano-forward orchestration, but he pulls off a seriously nifty Tangerine Dream loping synth for the track “Olson,” which backs one of the most affecting moments in the flick.

That piece of music almost destroyed me when I was watching the film.
I‘m also watching Jared Leto tonight. As in introducing the kids to Urban Legends.
How much better off we‘d all be if it had ended there…
