From what I've read and heard, many food banks need cash donations so they can purchase fresh food for users at a discount more than they need collection of shelf-stable goods.

One way individuals can organize to help is to pick a local food bank, set a donation goal, and share with your followers.

A Seattle cop's estranged wife says he fired his gun inside their house last year, nearly hitting her.

He's been on paid leave ever since she filed for a protective order alleging domestic abuse last June.
