So glad you liked this, too! I remember being blown away by it when I read it a few years ago. Thought the Japanese take on Christianity was fascinating, & the clash of zealous Jesuit missionaries encountering ‘pagan’ envoys (samurai) devoted to the lord (shogun) who dispatched them. #devonbookhour
