We don't now, and never have had a meaningful democracy in the UK. Without democracy, then, whither freedom? Socialist, procrastinator and (former) spaniel wrangler in Penzance, Cornwall. User number: 402,198

Not listening? They have been actively hostile.
I know they have tall buildings in the UAE, but to have a view over Birmingham (and not the brown people beneath her) is just wild.
Mind how you go...
Even more important, then, that the party’s MPs are solid, eh?
The BBC will find someone that does. They have to.
I think my criticisms of him as a man hit harder than my comparatively light mocking of his name. If you don’t, you’re prioritising undeserved politeness over real life ethical considerations. I can’t take that seriously.
He's an autocrat. It's what he does.
It's not just Starmer of course, both Badenoch and Davey have weighed in on criticising police operational matters, in favour of fans from a country being investigated for war crimes, no less.

The next time you hear them bleat on about Law and Order, remember this day.
Because he is an unrepentant Zionist shill.
Kieth's skill set can encompass both David's expectations and his realisations. He is that dynamic and accomplished.
I expected Keir Starmer to be a bland, middle-management, platitudinous, tediously disappointing Prime Minister, which is why it’s been such a surprise to find out he’s actually a stupid, incompetent, vindictive, reactionary and outright dismaying Prime Minister.
Presumably, then, Starmer will tolerate violent Islamophobes entering the country, to visit an area with the amongst the highest level of Muslim occupancy in the country? And that the role of the police is to expose the people of Aston to the fear of violence and intimidation?
He actually said
“This is the wrong decision. We will not tolerate antisemitism on our streets.
The role of the police is to ensure all football fans can enjoy the gsme, without fear of violence or intimidation.”
This decision has been widely condemned by others. Much more detail in the i.
Badenoch and Davey have predictably followed suit.
If the Greens want to soak up any melted MPs from what used to be the Labour Party, I do hope they are questioned on their prior support for Starmer.

What possible good would it do to absorb anyone that has shown such previous poor judgement?
I haven't heard anything from Polanski.
No one is asking how it came to be for sale?

Surely the person who made that decision is the real threat to national security?
Inciting racial hatred, you say?

What race are "Zios"?

He appears to be the same 'race' as Keir Starmer, a renowned and stalwart Zionist.

What then?

What if it turns out this guy is Jewish himself?

What then?

'Antisemitism' is a meaningless 'post-truth' term.

While they don't jump ship, they are not our allies in the slightest.

20 MPs, maybe? They really needed to let the ship sail years ago. I don't know if I can trust their judgement now.
I'd suggest it is to deflect from the fact that all this happened under the previous govt, and they themselves had failed to establish China as a threat.

That the prosecution failed is a reflection of their own inaction.

I have to say, this is an easy Win for Starmer. Let's watch him fuck it up.
There is no way back for Labour. It is corrupt to the core.
Party HQ was riddled with corrupt corporatists in the Blair/Mandelson mould throughout Corbyn's leadership. It's these cretins that had ultimate control, because Corbyn was too accommodating to fire/press charges against them. I'd had enough by Mar '19, and left it for the rotting corpse it is now.
It's not corporate capture, if your entire political career has been established with the full consent and financial backing of corporate entities.

Starmer has never been a socialist. He has always been a corporatist lackey.
I favour cock-up over conspiracy, but what worries me about Starmer's missteps is that they don't lead to a random walk. They lead us inexorably in the same direction in a determined march.

The Labour Party has suffered corporate capture under Starmer's leadership.
If it is a calculated lie, it's not a gaffe.
A reminder - as @mrjamesob.bsky.social just noted - the current Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch mistakenly claimed that Northern Ireland voted to leave the EU

We did not

This is a person who claimed she never makes gaffes

Kemi Badenoch mistakenly says NI voted in favour of Brexit
In a BBC NI interview, the Tory leader said the

Starmer’s Labour late recognition of Palestine did nothing to bring about this ceasefire.

Until Israel recognises Palestine, all of the stolen territory is returned, and war crimes prosecutions are delivered, there will never be lasting peace.

Starmer can only fulfil being prosecuted.
Not to mention his moral vacuum.
