ファージ由来の SglPP7 と LysM は、同じ Lipid II フリッパーゼ MurJ を標的にするが、結合様式は異なる。収斂進化のようだ。

We revealed, through cryo-EM and functional analyses, that the small lipoprotein LptM stabilizes LptD at a late stage of LptDE complex maturation in the outer membrane.

A small phage protein, LysM (37 residues), binds to MurJ like a wedge and freezes its motion.

We captured the process of a substrate protein through a membrane using HS-AFM.
A string-like protein (peptide) is being translocated by a single SecYEG-SecA.
