Thousands left without water in the middle of winter in the UK. And those same people are now facing a massive bill hike.

Privatised water is a scam.

I've written to the Prime Minister asking why he won't end this rip off and bring failing South East Water into public hands.

Outrageous.

Ministers should be listening to scientists, frontline communities and those working towards a green transition – not hosting the interests of oil giants in their own offices.

This line is some weird fantasy too...

“We need to demonstrate competence, and that’s most obviously around small boats,” [Dromey] says.

I'd like to see NHS competence. SEND competence. Equality competence. Green energy competence.
“The idea that squeezing a tiny elite of billionaires will pay for everything is fantasy and we do need to expose that.”

Good job no one’s ever actually said that - including me.

So why is Labour again repeatedly lying to avoid taxing the super-rich?

We shouldn’t have to vote tactically to stop someone else. We shouldn’t have to choose the least bad option. Democracy should give us the freedom to vote for what we actually support – and the confidence that our vote will count wherever we live. buff.ly/SRgOk8K

British politics is a mess. Food, energy, housing are all too expensive. Major parties are all flogging the dead horse of trickle down. So I’m joining the Green Party. Britain needs an economy that works for workers, for small businesses, and future generations. @greenparty.org.uk

Nearly every day we're seeing more voices in the media wake up to the crisis of democratic representation that we're facing.

First Past the Post is unsustainable. The only way to avoid complete chaos is to switch to Proportional Representation - now

💥 Excellent article in @economist.com about the absurdity of election results under FPTP - and its consequences:

The tribal tedium sets in hard for me at times like this. It's bad politics, and dreadful for the country.

If we had equal votes of course none of this would matter. But they won't even do that.

SIGH.
