Beyond Mull - Camas nan Geall, Ardslignish, #Ardnamurchan

Sundown at Camas Nan Geall at this time of the year sees the Sun setting beyond the north end of the Isle of Mull. As it does so, it casts light on the southwest facing slopes around the bay.

Beautiful early morning moonlight photos. A real sense of peace and calm. The beach community always seems so reassuringly regular. Lovely that more are learning about the blog. Always a pleasure to read. 💙❤️🤗

Ancient yew perhaps 500 years old in Johnny Wood close to Seatoller. Discussed during the recording of our Countrystride podcast this afternoon, set to go live on Friday.

All taken in very good part as I would have expected. Lovely to see the morning change from deepest dark to sunshine. I’m missing my seashore sunrise walks. Always something very thoughtful in the blog. The tide going out but one day its return won’t be seen. Something to come to terms with. 💙❤️🤗

A really great evening visit. Fantastic cloudage, a big empty beach, glorious light and beautiful photos. The photo of the clock tower is superb. 🤩💙❤️🤗

Several important discoveries - the vallum ditch which was the boundary of the first monastery and separated sacred from secular areas, the name stones, the stories in several skeletons. The most intriguing was the shrine burial, a woman with a veil of gold thread.
