Back running amok at my regular haunt.

Got back on an athletics track early this morning after a long absence, to knock out some 400m intervals at a threshold run pace, you have to re-start somewhere.

Positioning the entry round the back may be unconventional but tracks with the overall theme.

Out the door before sunrise for a group ride, to see a crescent moon straight out of fairy tale set design, perched in a sky as clear as a bell, if you are in my part of the planet it is going to be a cracker.

Disconnecting from all the things with some more time on the trail this afternoon.

Spring days means more sunlit hours and more late afternoon miles on the trails. 5 more miles done today.

Late afternoon run on a windy spring day, it was a 10.55km distance, or the Quarter Marathon as I like to call it.

Come to the running trail near the lake in the bushland reserve with your best bandana slurs in the next ten minutes if you want an ass whooping.

Now my watch is simply trolling me, stopped tracking tonight’s run a mile out, while continuing to record my elevating heart rate, so I have deets of all the slow moderate effort and none of the spicy sub maximal flight mode.

A day off means morning run, 5 miles on local roads and trails, the lake behind me is a long-ago dammed up creek, the once upon a time flower farm gone back to native bushland.

Another 5km jaunt in the run bank this evening. The body and running are okay *touch wood* but the wearable tech needs an upgrade. Built in obsolescence is super monetised these days.

Sunday morning highlight is running six miles along local gravel trails and refueling with a home made omelette and black coffee.

Nine km run at dusk tonight with the local run shop crew, and a shoe company lent us brand new carbon plate race shoes to trial and gave us T-shirts to wear. Still kept to a sensible pace, but quite nice on the feet and we looked much less like our usual rabble.

Nice listen on your next easy run, two thumbs up from Team Autumn. (I never use the f word in a running context 😬 )

A good explainer of energy systems and how to train them for running performance, lucky for me it is quite accessible in English translation as my Slovenian is about as good as an excess of hydrogen ions in a final dash for the finish line!
My article "What Happens in the Body While Running?" is now available in English. Check it out to learn more about the science behind running. #running #workout

Ran 10km through parklands this morning, lovely views, shame somebody blocked most of the vista in the photo I took 😤

Sprung for a run on the first day of spring. It was a 5km wind down at the end of another Monday.

Spinal tapped this morning’s run, plan was for ten miles but dialled it all the way up to eleven.

Is there anything more annoying than a tetchy ITB, made 5 mile on my evening run before my leg tightened right up.

Stretching after investing 14km on the running trails this morning, left plenty of fresh air and sunshine for others, you’re welcome.

Pride comes before the fall, tumbled over a tree root for the second time in two days, can’t blame the weather.

So glad I did my local shop run this morning, got to see the sunrise from the trail, and the group travels further and faster than I could alone. In addition to the glorious day, I clocked up my longest run, 29km, a smidge under 3 hours.
