Great to catch up today with Graham Simpson MSP who switched parties to Reform UK during summer recess. On the agenda: #AshDieback, #ScotlandsRainforest, #TreesForAll in urban areas and more!

🏡 Do street trees qualify as #UrbanPlants #WildflowerHour?
We hope so! There are some beauties out there, breathing life (plus food, shade, shelter, beauty, clean air etc.) into the places we live, work & play.

🌱 1.5 million native trees planted in #GlenDevonWoodlands between 2001-2008 are now thriving. But the HUGE task of removing their vole guards (the tubes that protect young trees from damage by voles & mice) begins. Thankfully these guards will be reused to plant new woodland locally. #reuse #recycle

"We'll sort it. See it... Say it-sort it". How has ScotRail still not fixed this confusing, weird recording?!

155,000 of us came together to #SaveLochLomond.

SEPA, the National Trust for Scotland, Woodland Trust, Ramblers & the National Park's planning experts all objected to Flamingo Land.

But Government officials have still approved this destructive mega-resort.

Take action 👇

According to the Scottish Wild Beaver Group, which campaigns to protect beavers, it was “really disheartening” to see Forbes use her influence to halt a beaver licensing process which had been conducted with “high community consultation standards”

One proven way to help manage water during flood and drought... Native trees! Not a magic bullet ofc but at landscape scale, riparian woodland, trees on farms and healthy wetlands, the benefits are clear.

I am struck by the quality of the debate in Holyrood today on Assisted Dying. MSPs are at their best and most considered when they speak from the heart, and we as citizens are all better off for that. We should have far more conscience votes.
