I’m behind schedule on the games I want to make in my lifetime, so I’ve started working on the next one.
After a short stint in Godot, I went back to ZGameEditor. It’s just faster. But native shadows are really lacking... 😭

I’m building a system to export a playable demo from the full game without having to manually trim anything or, worse, hide the full game inside the demo. It will automatically trim the full code before compiling 😎✨

Oh noes… I’ve got this weird bug in Omeganaut where beams that are destroyed when they go off-camera can sometimes reappear and replace the player’s lasers if they’re fired at the exact same time...
It makes no sense 😭

As I’m getting close to releasing the new version of Omeganaut, fatigue’s hitting hard, not helped by the nonstop 120 km/h south wind battering my place for 48h straight...

Got a funny bug in Omeganaut’s debug mode: if you force ending the level while still accelerating into a wormhole, then multiple planets spawn. And since the background scroll is plugged to the planet movement, it goes crazy 😅

The random generator for planet and moon shapes and colors is rock solid. But before I see what I can do with shaders to make them prettier, I’m going to try replacing the rings with a low-poly version.

Let’s go destroy an enemy base on a purple moon. Levels in Omeganaut are short but intense. You’ll get a breather only before choosing your destiny, or in death.
