This one taught me how patient you have to be to see color in hydrogen, sulfur, and oxygen — but when it works, it really works.

It's heavy stuff. I don't normally say words out loud, preferring to draw for communication. So I probably won't explain this further. Just, I was very confused and alarmed at how taken I am with Vampires and how tragic it is. I want everyone (characters) to lose here, and that's not normal for me

Plus, when everything that can go wrong does go wrong for a character, it makes me feel grateful for the smaller things that do go right in my own life. At least my life isn't as doomed by the narrative as cb!Pyro, y'know? At least I'm not responsible for people's lives, just their spirits.

I have the beginnings of a theory. Because the world seems riddled with unfairness, prejudice, and hatred right now, there's a sense of catharsis seeing that reflected in fiction. I wasn't expecting it to be this strong. I wasn't expecting it all all, tbh

But for some unknown reason. This particular character. I don't understand. Why do I want absolutely nothing to go their way? Why do I want her to suffer? Why do I want for her to keep trying just to ultimately fail so many times that she gets crushed? I want them broken. Why? She doesn't deserve it

Im not usually a fan of unresolved suffering for no reason. I'm very careful to care about people's well being. As an older adult in a young adult space, I'm almost compulsive about caring for, wanting the best for people around me. Creatives need encouragement, a safe place to fail and try again...
