The Soviets wouldn’t be able to fight without land lease! The sheer amount of trucks (logistics wins wars not bodies kids) are what enabled the Soviet Union to move to the Far East and sustain its losses until Stalingrad

Unless you can get a very selective poison like RatX which is literally corn meal, wheat, malt sugar and salt (ie not toxic but the rats eat it and dry out) it’s never a sustainable solution
