Tonight, we joined Jewish New Yorkers on the UES, across the city, and the whole of klal Yisrael, in lighting candles for the first night of Hanukkah — in remembrance of the victims of the horrific, antisemitic terrorist attack in Sydney, and in defiance of the hatred that will never dim our light.
We're horrified and heartbroken by the depraved, antisemitic terrorist attack at a Hanukkah celebration in Sydney. As we prepare to light our own candles this evening, we keep the victims and their families in our hearts.

As Hanukkah approaches and the temperature drops, the sting of poverty and food insecurity only grows sharper – and with 300,000 New York households at risk of losing SNAP benefits, it’s more important than ever before to support vulnerable New Yorkers.

We’ve donated $1 million to build a shared society hub for Jewish-Arab Israeli partnership named in her honor, perpetuating her work building bridges and turning her dream of Jewish-Arab equality into a reality.

We are outraged by the demonstrations outside of Park East Synagogue. Calling for an intifada outside of a synagogue is antisemitic — and unacceptable.

We are horrified by the blatant antisemitism on display in newly released audio from a recent event at City College, and we call on CUNY officials to ensure incidents like this cannot and will not happen again.
