Tonight, we joined Jewish New Yorkers on the UES, across the city, and the whole of klal Yisrael, in lighting candles for the first night of Hanukkah — in remembrance of the victims of the horrific, antisemitic terrorist attack in Sydney, and in defiance of the hatred that will never dim our light.

We're horrified and heartbroken by the depraved, antisemitic terrorist attack at a Hanukkah celebration in Sydney. As we prepare to light our own candles this evening, we keep the victims and their families in our hearts.

We are outraged by the demonstrations outside of Park East Synagogue. Calling for an intifada outside of a synagogue is antisemitic — and unacceptable.
